RIDING LESSON CONTRACT /AGREEMENT

1. Important information

• BBos Riding School is operational throughout the year.
•  All riders must complete a Registration Sheet and Indemnity form before they may ride.
• Clients are asked to always be aware of danger while around these premises, especially around the ponies/horses
• Riders must arrive 20 minutes before the start of a lesson to allow for warm up and adjustments to be made.
• Riders must be dressed in long pants with sneakers or closed shoes, a hard hat should be worn at all times when mounted. Riders with incomplete attire will not be allowed to ride.
• If a rider does not show up for his / her lesson and no prior arrangement has been made, the lesson will be automatically cancelled - not to be rescheduled. The lesson will be billed as normal. 
• The management reserves the right to add to or amend these terms and conditions.
• We also reserve the right to refuse entry to these premises.

2. Cancelation or rescheduling of lessons

• If the rider is unable to attend a scheduled lesson, the rider or guardian must inform the instructor / manager, 12 hour in advance.  With proper notice all cancelled / unattended lessons can be rescheduled with instructor / manager, these lessons must be rescheduled within 30 days from original time and date.
•  Lesson cancellation due to bad weather will occur from time to time, all parties will attempt to catch up within a period of 30 days at a time agreed upon between rider / guardian and instructor / manager.
• Pre-lesson cancellation will not indemnify the rider / guardian or person responsible for the account of the lesson fee, even if lessons are not rescheduled.
• Should the rider wish to discontinue riding please inform the manager in writing, a month’s notice is required. Should a rider wish to re-apply within 3 months of cancellation, a once-off R200.00 fee will be payable up front. 

3. Recommendation

Bring own refreshments. Snacks are optional (as long as there is no littering on the premises).

4. Riding School Timetable

Week days :            9 am – 5 pm      Adult and junior riding lessons

Sundays:                8am – 3pm        Adult and junior riding lessons

We offer lessons every day except Saturdays. We teach our riders from 2 years old and have no upper age limit but please note our upper weight limit is 100kgs.

5. Cost of Lessons

Lesson ½ hour                    R70.00

Lesson 1hr                         R100.00

Monthly Special package:          

Option 1:    8hrs (could be irregular, or set times)                                           R 600.00

Option 2:    3hr/weekly Sundays or any 1 day a week ONLY for 3 hrs               R 600.00

Option 3:    20 – 40 hrs (could use however –lessons/outrides/etc.)                R 1000.00

Option 4:    Half lease horse/pony, 40+ hrs a month, outrides included            R 1500.00        

6. Payments

The riding school commits to supply an updated pricelist with details on all services and the costs concerning them. The client commits to review, discuss and indicate which of the services set out on pricelist will be made use of. The client commit to inform the stable yard of any changes on services required

• The client will pay to the stable yard a predetermined monthly lesson fee as indicated on concerning pricelist
• This fee is payable monthly in advance on/or before the third day of each month
•  Written notice will be given on all price increases
•  In the event that the lesson fee is paid late a fine will be charged at R50.00 per day after the third of each month
• Payments can be made via transfers, cash or deposits
• Detailed invoices and statements will be provided to the client on a monthly basis before/or on the last day of the month
• The lesson fee is exclusive show fees, outride fees, horse training fees and lounging
• All rider information must be completed on the attached Section B, a section must be completed per rider and no interchange of lessons between riders will be allowed

7. Training shows and other events

•  All show dates, planned events and financial obligations will be given to the rider / guardian / person responsible for account in advance.
• We urge all our riders to participate in shows as this promotes team building. Shows set goals and allow riders to be assessed on their skills and progress.  
• All fees concerning shows will be payable in advance.
