Riding School

What attracts a person to horses? Whether it is the sheer fun and excitement of having such a magnificent beast as a friend or partner, horses have become an important aspect in our lives.

What horses can do for us, is invaluable, and one that we like to share, here at BBos Riding School.   So let’s look at what horse riding can do for you or your child.

1.       Sense of Responsibility

Taking care of a horse teaches kids responsibility. Learning how to properly care and feed an animal prepares the child for caring for others. Luckily you don’t have to own a horse to experience this, as most of our lessons involve the child to get their own horse ready for their lessons. Then there is the responsibility of dressing appropriately, showing up on time, and tacking care of the equipment.  We also encourage the children to look after and help one another.

2.       100% Commitment

Nothing in life is easy! If you want to be successful in anything, it means that you need to be committed, and stay focused on what you want.  Horse riding is not always easy. Unfortunately it doesn’t come natural to all people, and often one has to work twice as hard in order to achieve sometimes even the smallest of things.  The best you can do for your child is  get him/her to commit to lessons so that your child can learn the value of sticking with something, working hard, and experiencing positive reinforcement.

3.       Healthy Sense of Pride

Nothing beats the feeling of mastering a challenging riding skill! There are days or lessons when you try to master a skill, such as riding on the correct diagonal, getting your horse to stop on command, or changing transition in a smooth and controlled manner. Being able to successfully communicate with an free spirited animal is a major confidence booster for riders of all levels.

4.       Keeps you Focused

With horse riding, there are so many things you need to concentrate on. Especially when you are focused on a single complicated task, you can't worry about anything else! To ride a horse, you must use your brain and body to control and communicate with your horse. During a ride, the mind has a break from other worries, and that's a major anxiety-buster that can help your child develop lifelong emotional health.

5.       Keeps you Active

With so many youngsters suffering from weight problems, parents are looking for ways to add healthy activity to their child's life. Horseback riding may be the perfect remedy. Riding horses is good physical exercise and fun. It gets kids outdoors in the fresh air and in tune with nature.

6.       Requires Athletic Ability

Forget the gym! Any equestrian will gladly explain that you don't "just sit there.” Riding takes strength and endurance. You use your legs, core, arms, and back when you're in the saddle. Riding is a full-body workout, and soon your child will feel empowered, strong, and confident in his or her body.

In addition to physical exercise, horseback riding has great side benefits. Riding improves balance and coordination. As a child progresses in their skills they develop confidence and a sense of freedom.

7.       Creates Disciple

Horse riding as a sport can teach your child self-discipline and can increase your child’s patience levels as well as help define their focus and control.

8.       Social Sport

Horseback riding can also be a great social sport. Many children take riding lessons together at stables.

  1. Healthy Atmosphere

Here at the B R School, we treat our animals like our family and our clients like our friends.  You and your child need to feel comfortable and at ease. Fellow riders can provide a tight-knit group of friends who support each other away from the drama and stress of a school environment. We like to think the B R School is a place that has positive and social environment, where people can connect of all ages that share a passion and love for horses.

  1. Spending Time Together

This is a major bonus to those of us adults who already ride or who have always wanted to ride. If your son or daughter is interested, riding is a fantastic way to spend time together. Any age and any level can ride together given the right environment. You'll have a friend to join you for horse trails, commandos, shows, hunts or whatever else you are passionate about.

  1. Lifelong Skill

Riding is fun. Give the child the knowledge and skill set to do well with a horse and you've given them a life-long hobby. Unlike some sports that only capture a child's interest for a season or two, or end with high school graduation, riding never has to stop.

Our Riding school is not a job, it is our passion. Come join our family for a wonderful experience and memories worth a lifetime. This website was created for free with Own-Free-Website.com. Would you also like to have your own website?
